Summary:

From the world’s #1 bestselling author comes the newest book in the blockbuster PRIVATE series…

Santosh
Wagh quit his job as head of Private India after harrowing events in
Mumbai almost got him killed. But Jack Morgan, global head of the
world’s finest investigation agency, needs him back. Jack is setting up a
new office in Delhi, and Santosh is the only person he can trust.

Still
battling his demons, Santosh accepts, and it’s not long before the
agency takes on a case that could make or break them. Plastic barrels
containing dissolved human remains have been found in the basement of a
house in an upmarket area of South Delhi. But this isn’t just any house,
this property belongs to the state government.

With the crime
scene in lockdown and information suppressed by the authorities, delving
too deep could make Santosh a target to be eliminated.

***Short & Sweet Reviews are
short, quick reviews. These will mainly be used for series books where I
have already done full reviews on some of the earlier books or for
books that I feel will suffice with a quick review. These will not be
used for review requests or blog tours.

My thoughts: Here we are with another Private book being set in India, with the same team, and I have to say, I still had a lukewarm feeling about this book. I think it’s the team…for some reason, there is just no connection to them. The case itself that Santosh and his team found themselves working on was the saving grace of this book. It involved the killing of people to harvest their organs, which usually would go to American who would travel to India for the organ transplants. It was cheaper for the Americans to have the transplant done in India and not have to wait as long. I don’t know if this really happens in India, but I have to say, as appalled as I was by this, it did keep me hooked to the story to see how it would be resolved.
