My thoughts: I loved this quick read…these little BookShots are adrenaline-filled bursts of energy that take practically no time to read and yet are just as addicting as the full-length novels. This particular story has Jack Morgan visiting the London office when they get a call that the Duke of Aldershot’s daughter has been kidnapped. As they start to investigate, they realize that things don’t quite add up…and the clock is ticking on the Private team to get this case solved before things take a turn for the worse.
I loved this story. I also loved that we see many familiar faces. While this series bounces around, going from international office to international office, I love when we come back to an office we’ve been to before. Peter Knight and his team are a solid team but they have the benefit of working with Major Jane Cook on the case…she is a great character and I hope we haven’t seen the last of her!
This was a great story and one that, due to it’s short length, doesn’t have time to get overly complicated. It’s tightly written and focused, only having the one case for the team to concentrate on. I’ve read a few of these BookShots and have really liked them.
