***Short & Sweet Reviews are
short, quick reviews. These will mainly be used for series books where I
have already done full reviews on some of the earlier books or for
books that I feel will suffice with a quick review. These will not be
used for review requests or blog tours.

My thoughts: As I make my way through the Private series this year, I have to say this one definitely hasn’t been a favorite in the series so far. It still has a lot of the trademark qualities I’ve come to enjoy in the Private series – lots of action, many different threads going on at once, the Private team on the hunt for a killer – but something just didn’t click for me. I think it’s that I had a hard time connecting with this new Private team.  I didn’t particularly like Santosh and that might have been the problem. But luckily, the mystery itself kept me interested enough to keep me from abandoning this book. Hopefully the next one will be better!

Kristin, I'm glad you enjoyed the mystery aspect of this book. The Private series is quite an extensive one. 🙂
