August’s theme for #ReadChristie2026 is Beloved Duo and I went with one of the alternative picks, The Secret Adversary.
This is the 1st novel in the Tommy and Tuppence series, the novel that introduces the pair. There are 5 books in this series and I’ve actually read the 2nd one, Partners in Crime, already. These aren’t my favorite of Christie’s novels, but I’m glad I did give them another chance. They are a fun pair to follow along with…their banter is quite witty and it was enjoyable to watch them realize they were more than friends after all!
Interesting fact — The Secret Adversary was Agatha Christie’s 2nd published book!
