Summary:
An unforgettable night of romance awaits in this funny, charming novella by USA Today best-selling author Nina Bocci!

The
annual Valentine’s Day singles soiree is always a big money-maker for
Eloisa Giordono’s winery. What could be more romantic than looking for
love at a quaint family vineyard on the most romantic night of year?
Well, just about anything as far as Eloisa is concerned. She’s a
Valentine’s Day Grinch who thinks it’s the lamest, most clichéd holiday
ever invented.

Fortunately, she’ll get to hang out with
like-minded folks this year by hosting an Anti-Valentine’s Day party on
the same night. She’ll just need to alternate between events to keep
them both running and she’ll be raking in the profits. But Eloisa is
thrown for a loop when a sexy, self-described hopeless romantic shows up
at the singles soiree and keeps her captivated. Will he change her mind
about the holiday…and about love?

My thoughts:  I don’t go out of my way to read romance novels, but when one catches my eye, I will certainly give it a go. I’ve read one of Nina Bocci’s books before so when asked to be part of this tour for her latest book, which happened to be an audio exclusive, of course I jumped at the chance. And having it be a novella didn’t hurt.

This was quite a sweet, fun story that really cuts to the chase of a meet-cute. Being that is a novella, it isn’t bogged down with all the extra stuff, but rather focuses in on that actual initial meeting of Eloisa and a romantic interest. Of course, this is the last thing on her mind as Elo is anti-Valentine’s Day and the holiday happens to be one of the busiest nights for her at the winery. But, in a stroke of genius she plans two events – one for the lovers and one for the anti-lovers.

The dialogue in this novella is witty and charming. There is even a nod to Leslie Knope of Parks and Rec fame about Galentine’s Day, which I not only loved, but felt was so appropriate. Between the winery setting and that first initial meet-up, this one has all the right vibes for a sweet story…but that’s all this is. It’s not about their journey or their happily-ever-after. This is just about their initial meeting and I loved that. This story may be short, but it definitelyworth the listen and one that I definitely recommend!

Audio thoughts: This was such a great audio and I thought Amanda Ronconi did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life. This is the first time I’ve listened to Amanda narrate and I will certainly be checking out her other narrations.

This is only available on Audible.
