It’s Monday…What Are You Reading? (6.24.13)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs.

Last week was Audiobook Week, hosted by Jen at Devourer of Books. It was a great week of getting to know fellow bloggers that are also audiobook listeners as well as discovering new books to try on audio and new narrators to keep an eye out for…I know my tbl (to-be-listened to) list grew a lot! Did you participate?

This past weekend, my husband sailed in a regatta and I enjoyed sitting on the porch at the boat club while reading. I got some quality reading time in – it’s amazing how much reading I get in while staying off the computer and social media!

It's really good – I read it as a read-a-long and had the best time discussing it!

Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend (it would be for me!). We've had a houseful of company for over a week so reading has been minimal (exercise too, sadly) but they leave on Tuesday so I'm looking forward to getting back to The Light In The Ruins and Forever, Interrupted.

I loved The Winter Sea and The Firebird. I liked Remember Me? too.

I find that I do better with reading if my laptop is turned off and I've put my iPhone away, otherwise I am always on there looking at Pinterest, etc. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you have a great week!

I enjoyed The Winter Sea and am really looking forward to reading The Firebird. I like her writing style.

Yes, between twitter, facebook and pinterest, I get very distracted!

I read Come Home and I think all of the stand alones by Scottoline and enjoyed them. The Fire Bird and The Apple Orchard are on my kindle now still unread. Great stack of books you have!

Come Home was my first Scottoline and I definitely will be reading more by her.

I'm looking forward to reading both The Firebird and The Apple Orchard – I like both authors.

I have yet to try an audiobook. I think it would work well for me at night when I read in bed becomes sometimes I just don't feel like holding the book, lol.

I haven't tried listening while in bed – afraid I would fall asleep and it would keep going! If you are going to try one, I suggest starting with a book you've already read – just to see if you like the whole listening experience.

I have a few Susanna Kearsley books but I haven't read any of them yet. I'm curious about Reconstructing Amelia, mostly because I keep seeing it everywhere and I don't know much about it.
