Stacking the Shelves (8) 7.8.12

Tynga of Tynga’s Reviews is starting a new meme to spotlight the books we receive each week.  Here’s what I got:

For Review:

Gold (audio)

by Chris Cleave

This is the latest by Chris Cleave and it deals with the Olympics.

Big Sky Mountain (e-book)

by Linda Lael Miller

This is the next in Linda Lael Miller’s Swoon-Worthy Cowboys series – isn’t that such a great name for a series?

From the library:

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (audio)

by Stieg Larsson

I decided that before starting the next two books in this series, I wanted to reread the first one. After hearing so many great things about Simon Vance and this audio, I decided to listen to the book instead.

Purchased:

Jackie After O

by Tina Cassidy

I love all things Jackie Kennedy and after seeing this one on someone’s blog last week, I ran out and bought a copy for myself.

Won:

The Scarlet Pepper

by Dorothy St. James

I won this from Armchair BEA. It’s the second in Dorothy St. James’ A White House Gardener Mystery series.

What did you get this week?

I haven't read any of these books but I've heard of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo before and I might not read it considering how graphic it's supposed to be. I hope you enjoy though!

Check out my Stacking the Shelves!

There are some graphic scenes, but the rest of the story is really good.

I have Big Sky Mountain too. I'm on the blog tour. I should check out Gold as I seem to be Olympics obsessed right now. My new books posts are at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!

I'm on the blog tour, too. I can't wait for the Olympics to start – I love watching all the different events.

I'm hoping to get to the other two this summer, which is why I'm listening to the first one now.

Very interested in the new Cleave book! I loved the Millennium trilogy, but never listened to the audio books, looking forward to your review of the first one.

I read the first one so long ago that I just wanted to refresh my memory and thought audio would be a good way to go. I'm looking forward to reading the other two books in the series.

Always enjoy reading your posts and thought it was about time I added a comment.
All of the books I have read/listened to have been from the library:

    HAUNTED GROUND by Erin Hart
    Historical mystery set in Ireland

IN THE SHADOW OF LADY JANE by Edward Charles
(AUDIO) – Read by Alistair Petrie
Excellent story and well done by the Reader.
Actually my second listen of this story.

THE BATTLE OF THE QUEENS by Jean Plaidy
(audio) – Read by Jilly Bond.
Onto the list CD of this 13 disc set and as I love historical fiction, the names and events are becoming more familiar.

A ROOM FULL OF BONES by Elly Griffiths
Still to read but if the story is anything like the previous books, will be a page turner.
Other books are The Crossing Places; The Janus Stone and The House at Sea's End which are all set around Norfolk where the character Ruth Galloway is the Head of Forensic Archeology at the University of North Norfolk.

DEAD HEAT – Dick Francis and Felix Francis
(AUDIO) – Read by Tony Britton
this is a Playaway edition, which is pre-loaded and portable.
Only picked this up on Saturday.

I love all of your books. I like to listen to a book when I go back to a series. I have read the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo but need to do what you are doing before I read the next two. Here is my post:
