Debbie Macomber’s
heartwarming new series, set at the Rose Harbor Inn in picturesque Cedar
Cove, displays the author’s signature talent for creating characters
who feel like friends, and small towns that feel like home. In this
original short story available exclusively as an eBook, Jo Marie Rose
readies her inn for spring, turning to her new friends Grace and Olivia
when she needs them most.

Jo Marie has big plans for her
bed-and-breakfast. With the help of handyman Mark Taylor, she intends to
plant a beautiful rose garden in time for her upcoming open house. Jo
Marie and Mark rarely see eye to eye—especially on matters of home
improvement—but she knows he has her best interests at heart. After the
two walk the grounds, Jo Marie realizes that her beloved rescue dog,
Rover, is missing, and at a time when she most needs a friend, Mark
abruptly leaves. Confused by Mark’s behavior and worried for Rover’s
safety, Jo Marie searches for her precious pup all over Cedar Cove.
Rover is on an adventure of his own—one that will lead to a delightful
surprise for two unlikely people.

***Short & Sweet Reviews are short, quick reviews. These will mainly be used for series books where I have already done full reviews on some of the earlier books or for books that I feel will suffice with a quick review. These will not be used for review requests or blog tours.

My thoughts: I’m really enjoying this second Cedar Cove series that Debbie Macomber has written. This is an in-between book that I actually read after having read book 3, but in this series, I don’t think it really matters all that much. It really just helps set up the relationship between Jo Marie and Mark, which I find to be so sweet!

Rover, the rescue dog that Jo Marie has taken in, has run off and Jo Marie is in a panic! Little does she know that Rover is about to play cupid for two high school students who are about as different as night and day, yet secretly have crushes on each other. It’s a corny, sweet little romance, yet Rover helps nudge them together.

This is what I love about Debbie Macomber’s books – they are sweet, light romances that just make you smile!

I am a Debbie Macomber fan myself, I had sent her a Christmas card and she sent me a little card with a teabag in return-isn't that sweet? I need to read this series though, she has soo many good reads!

Oh Joann, that is so sweet!!! I just love her books. Did you watch her Cedar Cove series on The Hallmark Channel? I loved when she made cameo appearances – she's so adorable 🙂

I've only read a few Debbie Macomber books but I've always enjoyed them and really want to read more. Than sounds really sweet! I also love the Hallmark movies based on her books. They're always so much fun!

I used to devour her yarn shop series and then her work wasn't my type of reading anymore. I think I need to give her another chance.
