#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in January 22

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About

So, this week wasn’t my best week. I was nursing a head cold, plus I spent three days at my brother’s house babysitting my nieces. I didn’t make it to the gym at all this week, but that’s ok…I did focus on watching what I eat.  My sister-in-law is an amazing cook and really does well with making sure my nieces eat well. So, it was quite easy to stay on track food-wise.

Here’s how my week of went:

Jan 16:  4,697 steps
Jan 17:  5,871 steps
Jan 18:  8,042 steps

Jan 19:  4,922 steps
Jan 20:  5,890 steps

Jan 21:  8,628 steps

Jan 22:  11,806 steps

Audiobooks listened to this week:

  • Listening to The Storm Sister by Lucinda Riley, narrated by Noreen Leighton, Rachel Lincoln

How did your week go? You can find this week’s link-up here.

The fact that you balanced the lesser amounts of exercise with making sure you made good eating choices is the best part. Sometimes life gets in the way and you just don't have time to get those steps or whatever your routine is. The fact that you made sure to eat well to balance that, is what counts. I hope your week this week is better.

Thanks Melanie! It was an ok week and I was ok with it…not being home was the hardest part, because I am definitely a creature of habit and when I get off my routine, all bets are off!!!

I hope you feel better soon! Good that you were able to eat healthy. That is a bit of a challenge for me sometimes. Glad you got to spend some time with family too.

Thanks Christina…it's the head cold that just doesn't seem to want to go away!!! It was fun hanging out with my nieces!

Hope you are fully well soon. Still a good week for you. I didn't come near my step total as I was busy washing down walls for painting. My arms got workouts instead!

Thanks Kathryn…this head cold certainly seems to be hanging on! I seem to do well most weeks with my step counts, but tend to not do so well with any other type of exercise – I don't do so well with the whole balancing thing 🙁 I really do need to get back to yoga – which I keep saying!!!

Kristin, your step count is good, and healthy eating is always valuable. I had one sick day last week, but thankfully, I recovered quickly. Here's to a great week ahead!

Hope by the time you read my comments you are better. I now have a head cold, so I get what you mean about it not wanting to go away. But, you had some small successes this week, despite the cold and babysitting/food! Great job!
