The Sunday Post #8 (1.19.14)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I’ve
decided to try a new weekly meme – a place where I can do both a weekly
wrap up and share what books I get all in one post, so I’m going to
give The Sunday Post a try, and also link up with Sheila’s It’s Monday Post over at Book Journey.

Well, the week certainly didn’t go as planned – I ended up sick…ughh! This of course wreaked havoc with my training schedule for the marathon, but I was smart and just took the whole week off, even though it killed me to do so. My thinking was that I would rather take the week off and completely get rid of whatever I had than have it linger on and on.

Good thing is I am feeling much better – which is just in time as my sister had her third baby last night – a week early! Miss Mia was supposed to make her debut on Friday, but was obviously eager to enter the world a bit early. Glad I’m feeling better so that I can go get some newborn snuggles today!!!

Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well. I am glad you are feeling better now and will be able to meet the new member of your family! I hope you get caught up on training too.

I haven't read The Splendour Falls yet. I own a copy so I'm sure I will get to it sometime this year. I love Susanna Kearsley's books!

You did the right thing taking the week off and resting. It's what the body needs when it gets sick, but you still got a lot done, nevertheless. Congratulations on the birth of your niece! Such a joyous event.

Looking forward to your review of The Splendour Falls.

I look forward to seeing your review of The Splendour Falls. I just went to an author event where Susanna Kearsley was speaking, and got my brand-new copy signed by her.

Enjoy your new books – sounds like you've got some great ones in there!
