Book Blog Walkers: January Weekly Check-in Jan 17, 2014

#BookBlogWalkers is hosted by Felicia @ The Geeky Bloggers Book Blog

Well, this week certainly didn’t go as planned. I did an awesome training walk on Sunday, did an easy walk Monday morning and then nothing the rest of the week. Why, you ask? Because I got that dreaded flu bug…ughhhh!

Luckily, I have a mild case, but needless to say, the week has been a wash. I’m so bummed, especially since I was on such a good roll. But, being that usually when I get sick, I tend to get really sick, I did the smart thing and just took the week off. No exercise (as much as it killed me!!!), and I basically just did nothing all week. I’m trying to get this completely out of my system as my sister is having a baby next week and I plan on being there for the birth – and I obviously can’t go if I’m sick! Luckily, I am starting to feel better, so hopefully another day or so rest and I can get back to my regular routine!

Here’s how my week went:

Jan 11:  2-15 min walks with dogs

Jan 12:  8 miles in just under 2 hours!!!

Jan 13:  easy 30 minute indoor walk

Jan 14:  sick

Jan 15:  sick

Jan 16:  sick

Jan 17:  sick

How did your week go?

Kristin, I love to walk, but sometimes lack the time and/or motivation. By visiting here, I am reminded to get out and WALK–thanks!

I hope you feel 100% better soon.

Yuck Yuck Yuck on the Flu! It is going around our office and I have threatened death to the person that gives it to me 🙂

Still 3 days is 3 days! And wise woman not to exercise when sick. Taking care of our health is more than exercise – its the wisdom to know when and when not to. Hope you get over that flu quick. New baby – exciting. In 2013 two of my nieces had children, and they live nearby. Its exciting to watch them grow.
