It’s Monday…What Are You Reading? (11.25.13)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs.

While I’m looking forward to having Thanksgiving here at my house this year, I’m more excited to break out the Christmas-scented candles on December 1st…which is next Sunday!!! I love my cinnamon and peppermint scented candles and really try very hard to refrain from burning them until after Thanksgiving. (Plus, this year, I’m still trying to finish burning all my pumpkin spice candles.) I won’t start the full-out decorating until the next weekend, but just getting the house smelling like Christmas is enough for me! Add in the cold weather we’ve been having and it makes for the perfect reading recipe = good smelling candle burning, cozy blanket, cuppa tea and a good book!

I like the mix of reads here. Christmassy enough to get into the spirit.

A great number of reads as usual. Mmm those scents I can almost smell. I always envy those who celebrate the Christmas season in the colder climates. Last year we had high temps on 25th and we could only crawl about!

I love scented candles all year round but cinnamon, cloves and gingerbread spices at Christmas time get me in the Christmas spirit … and eggnog and a good book lol. Enjoy your new reads 🙂

I have some Christmas scented candles from Bath and Body Works as well as wall plug-ins that I save for the holidays. It really does add to the Christmas feeling.

I read Candlelight Christmas this past week too. I was in the mood to do some holiday reading. The radio stations in my area are already playing Christmas music too.

    Have a happy Thanksgiving!
