It’s Monday…What Are You Reading? (5.27.13)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs.

Well,
the weather didn’t pan out exactly as I had hoped for the holiday
weekend, but I did get some reading time in. Of course, if I just stayed
off-line for a while, I would probably have gotten much more done than I
did! Twitter is still new for me, and I find myself checking it out all
the time. Luckily, from all my diligent checking this weekend, I came
across a new online book club that I decided to join. The Book Lovers Unite Online Book Club
is just starting and I signed up to read their first book pick for the
month of June – Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight.  The book
sounds interesting and I’m looking forward to being part of the
discussion. Let me know if you decide to join in!

I'm not someone who is very 'big' on social media but with now having a blog I am contemplating getting a twitter.. I don't know, I think it'll prove to be quite a resourceful tool if I do eventually pluck to get one.

There are a number of books featured in your post this week that may just be added to my wish list…

I'm not huge into the social media, either, but I did the twitter mainly for the blog (although I do follow some things related to General Hospital!).

The internet interferes with my reading time too. I spend way too much time playing Facebook games. Come see my Monday Report. Happy reading!

It's so bad some times – between facebook, pinterest, and now twitter – I really have to discipline myself!

Pinterest is what drags me away from reading, blogging and reviewing … perfect procrastination source lol.
I read a couple of Tami Hoag books a few years ago and really enjoyed them … don't know why I haven't picked something else up.

Have a great week and happy reading 🙂

I'm so horrible at participating in the book clubs I join – so I might have to consider an online book club too. Thanks for the idea 🙂 Hope you have a great week!

I think the online ones will be fun…and less pressure than the in-person ones.

We're finally supposed to have real Memorial Day kind of weather today, so I plan to hit the hammock with my book in an hour or so. Hooray for summer!

I believe I have Innocent Traitor around here somewhere to be read. I'll be curious to see what you think of it. Enjoy your week!

It did get nice for a bit on Sunday and then Monday, but not quite as warm as they were originally predicting. I did get some reading in Monday, though.

I notice that a lot of bloggers read the same books. Maybe I should reading some of them. I'm currently reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer and Anna Karenina by Tolstoy.
