It’s Monday…What Are You Reading? (11.12.12)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, isthe perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs.

Another week has come and gone. I got a lot a walking time in this week – the crisp, cool air makes for great walking weather! At the rate I’m going, I’m going to be flying through audios in these next months…listening to an audio while walking 6+ miles makes the time go much faster and I have some really long walks coming up. I’ll definitely be looking for new audios to download to my iPod this week – any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Well done with your walking, audio books take exercise from chore to almost pleasure for me lol.
Have I recommended Kristin Hannah on audio … Winter Garden & Magic Hour were mesmerising stories, brilliantly narrated.
Have a great week and happy reading 🙂

Wow, great list of books! I need an incentive to do my walks…so maybe I should consider audio.

I am very curious about the Merry Christmas, Alex Cross book.

Have you seen the movie previews of the new Alex Cross movie, with Tyler Perry as Alex? I can't see it! I always associate him with comedy…and Morgan Freeman as Alex. But I guess Morgan is getting up there in years….

I have seen the previews, but haven't seen the movie yet. I think I will probably wait until it comes out on On-Demand. I am the same – I always picture Alex Cross as Morgan Freeman…not sure how I feel about Tyler Perry playing him.

I should walk and read but I usually listen to audio books in my car because I have a long commute to work. This long weekend I've been listening to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as I travel to visit my parents and sister. I'm hoping to finish it up by the time I get back home this evening.

I am sure a lot of people will be picking up the new Alex Cross book this week. I hope you enjoy it and your other books.

I really need to listen to the Harry Potter books – maybe those are what I should listen to next…I read all the books and loved them, but have been wanting to reread them all. Audio might be the way to go with that!

Audios sure do make exercising fun! I really missed walking and listening when I was on exercise restriction for 8 weeks earlier this year. I look forward to Merry Christmas, Alex Cross too. Tyler Perry as Alex Cross does not bother me as much as Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher!

Listening to a book certainly makes the longer walks I've been taking go faster! I just started Merry Christmas, Alex Cross and it's good so far!

I've never tried listening to a James Patterson book – how are they on audio? I like to buy the books b/c I have a collection of the hardcovers on my bookshelf.

Bossypants by Tina Fey and Stories I Only Tell My Friends by Rob Lowe are fantastic in audio. Both narrate and do a great job. I highly recommend them.

Like you, I love when a new Alex Cross book is released. JP is one of my favorite authors, but I just can't keep up with all his new releases!

I just started the new JP book and it's really good so far!
