It’s Monday…What Are You Reading? (7.30.12)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs.

Where did the week go and how is it that August begins this week? I had such plans for my reading this summer and sadly, it doesn’t seem to be panning out. And I don’t foresee it getting much better with the Olympics going on. I do, however, have two upcoming events I will be participating in that might help. There’s theSummer Wrap-Up Read-a-thonthat runs from August 4 – August 12, and then theWolf Hall Read-a-Longkicks off August 4th as well. This is the first time I am doing both a read-a-thon and a read-a-long so I’m not really sure what to expect, but I am excited for both.

You have several books I want to read or have recently read, like Ninepins (read), I've Got Your Number (read), and The Girl Who Played with Fire (must read – on my stack).

    Have a great week!

I'm enjoying The Girl Who Played with Fire so far. I'm not sure about I've Got Your Number yet – still in the beginning of the book – hoping it gets better.

I really wanted to join in the Wolf Hall read along but just don't think I can fit it in my schedule. I hope you get to join in and have fun! I understand about the Summer of High Hopes.. I totally failed in my reading endeavors.

I figure by doing the read-a-long it will ensure me that I get to the book now…otherwise who knows when I will get to it.

It does look good. I've read one other book by her – The Tapestry of Love – which I really enjoyed!

Did you like Gold?? I read his previous book and thought it was all sorts of crazy, but this one looks ok.

    Happy reading this week 🙂

I did enjoy Gold…different than Little Bee – not sure how it compares to Incendiary as I haven't read that one yet. I have a giveaway going on now for the audio version of Gold if you're interested.

I just asked for Gold from Amazon Vine's Late Harvest. I guess I am into all things sporting with the Olympics going on. I also like Iris Johansen but haven't had a chance to read On the Run yet. Here is my Monday Report. Happy reading!

Gold was good. On the Run is an older book – somehow I missed it, but I'm enjoying it now!

I really enjoyed The Girl Who Played With Fire. And I also can't believe it's August already!!! I feel like soooo many things happened in July, but it was also a blur.

So far, The Girl Who Played With Fire is pretty good…I'm hoping to make some good headway in it this week.

I initially wasn't crazy about the idea of Gold, it seemed a bit cheesy (watched the sports? now buy the book!) but I am starting to come round after seeing a bunch of good reviews.

I enjoyed it and now am very curious about track cycling – I'm hoping to catch it during the Olympics.

Squeezing in reading or reviewing with the Olympics on is a bit of a challenge but I can comment on blogs while watching TV lol
Enjoy your reads this week 🙂
