Stacking the Shelves (3) 6.3.12

Tynga of Tynga’s Reviews is starting a new meme to spotlight the books we receive each week.  Here’s what I got:

From a Library Booksale:

Lady Killer (audio)

by Lisa Scottoline

I saw this and couldn’t resist…I’ve heard really good things about Lisa Scottoline and am excited to listen this.

From the Library

Three to Get Deadly (audio)

by Janet Evanovich

Slowly making my way through this series and have decided audio is the way to go!

From Church Back-to-Beach Booksale

4th of July

by James Patterson

I got this to add to my collection of hardcover James Patterson books. I read this one when it came out but don’t know what happened to the book.

Needles and Pearls

by Gil McNeil

This looks like a good read.

Those Who Save Us

by Jenna Blum

This looks like a really interesting and compelling read. I really enjoy reading books having to do with WWII.

To Have and To Hold

by Jane Green

Love Jane Green and hope this one is good, too.

Angel’s Peak

by Robyn Carr

This is one of the Virgin River books and it’s another series I am trying to make my way through.

      I don't knit – I crochet – but I just couldn't resist picking this one up!

      Hi Jessica and Kristin,

'Needles and Pearls' sounds like a great fun read and as I also enjoy knitting, this sounds like a definite for my reading list.

After a book shop, a wool shop would be the next on my wishlist for a job opportunity and would be even better if I owned the place!

I also like to crochet, but have never been able to master the intricate stitches, so I am afraid that blankets are about my limit!

Based on the descriptions of them, I think they will be good. Most of them are all from authors I read regularly.

    Hi Kristin,

A great selection of books this week, a really eclectic mix of genres.

I quite like the sound of 'Needles and Pearls' and of course the Lisa Scottoline would be a must for my reading list, although not as an audio version, as I just don't get on with them.

Enjoy your great haul and 'happy reading'

The Janet Evanovich books are probably great for audio; I listen to a ton of audio books but not all are great for listening in the car. I also like WWII era books – The Girl Who Saves Us cover already pulls me in.

The Janet Evanovich books are perfect for audio – they're hysterical which keeps the book moving.

I was pulled in by the cover of Those Who Safe Us, too.
