FIR ’10: Reading Question #10

FIR is hosted by Katrina atCallapidderdays.

Every Tuesday this fall, Katrina will be posting a question about reading.

Today’s question: Do you have multiple books going at once? Or do you prefer to stick to one book at a time?

Up until just recently, I have always had the same answer to this question – no, I only read one book at a time. But, I have finally started listening to audio books, so now I can have two books going at a time. I was a little weary about this, as I thought I would confuse the two plots, but I am able to keep each separate, partly because one is audio and one is visual. Well, I am hooked and am now on my 3rd audio book and thinking about what to listen to next!

What about you? Are you a one book person or do you have more than one going on?

I don't really like to read more than one book at a time either. You can read more in my Fall into Reading post.

I am a one book at a time reader, although I sometimes listen to a book on audio, if my eyes are tired or I just don't feel like reading for an hour or two. I never thought of that has reading two books at a time, but, I suppose it is. Like you, it seems you don't get the plots confused by reading and listening. I guess our brain separates the two better that way. LOL…

Oh I have to agree, the rules do change a bit for audio books though I almost never seem to listen to them (that requires children that aren't screaming, babbling, etc. haha)
