Summary:

Agatha Christie’s beloved classic novel sets Hercule Poirot on the trail of a serial killer—now a limited streaming series starring John Malkovich, Rupert Grint, and Tara Fitzgerald.

“Let us see, Mr. Clever Poirot, just how clever you can be.”

There’s a serial killer on the loose, working his way through the alphabet and the whole country is in a state of panic.

A is for Mrs. Ascher in Andover, B is for Betty Barnard in Bexhill, C is for Sir Carmichael Clarke in Churston. With each murder, the killer is getting more confident—but leaving a trail of deliberate clues to taunt the proud Hercule Poirot might just prove to be the first, and fatal, mistake.

My thoughts:

⁣This is yet another Hercule Poirot Mystery–continuing my streak of me now being 5 for 5 of reading all Hercule Poirot Mysteries for the #ReadChristie challenge so far this year. This is also a reread…I read this many years ago and wanted to see how it holds up, especially after seeing the movie. ⁣

This is such a complex, compelling case as we see Hercule Poirot face down a serial killer. Working alongside Captain Hastings, they certainly have their work cut out for them as they try to decipher the cryptic clues left by the killer. ⁣

I loved this one & even though I read it before, and saw the movie, I still found myself trying to work it out ahead of time, yet being stumped with all the red herrings and twists. It had clearly been too long since I picked this one up! ⁣
