Bloggiesta Update #1

Day 1 of Bloggiesta, being hosted by Suey at It’s All About Books and Danielle at There’s a Book is done and now we are on to Day 2.

I got a quite a bit done on Day 1, despite not being home all day. I had gone down to my sister’s to help her out for a few days, but luckily was able to spend most of yesterday on my blog and then after a 2 hour car ride home, I got a little more done last night.

Here’s what I have accomplished so far:

  • Write up a few reviews that I need to post/set up posts for upcoming reviews
  • Evaluate current review format – look into possible new formats – Started doing this
  • Clean up tags, category lists
  • Update reading log and link reviews to log COMPLETED
  • Update my challenge lists and link reviews COMPLETED
  • Add an About Me page that includes review policy
  • Clean up my Google Reader subscriptions – Started working on this
  • Update Goodreads tbr read list
  • Update blog roll
  • Prepare posts for up-coming Book Blogger Confessions questions
  • Prepare questions for up-coming Q&A’s with authors and send out
  • Decide whether to do review archive by author and/or title – Started this
  • Analyze and re-evaluate my blog – Started this
  • Participate in at least 2 mini-challenges

Current running time: 7.5 hrs.

As always, I welcome any feedback and suggestions.

You're doing great! I'm so jealous, yesterday was a bit of fail for me and today I have lots of non-blog stuff that I have to do. I am definitely going to try to get to a challenge or two today!

As soon as I heard about this weekend, I told my husband I was going to be busy all three days! I thought yesterday would be a loss, but thank goodness for wireless cards – I was able to take my laptop with me to my sister's and get some work done. Good luck getting some challenges done – what ones are you looking at?

Great list…and progress. I'm sure I should add a few things to my list; I know that I want to participate in a few more mini-challenges.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my site.

I started a list on paper that I will work off of once I finish my original list – this new list is from visiting everyone else and seeing what they are doing.

Looks like you're getting a lot of work done! I'm also looking in to doing a Review Archive- I think I might. Good luck with the rest of your list!

Now that I decided to do it, I need to figure out how I want it organized. I've been looking around at other blogs and have a few ideas that I am playing around with. Actually putting it together is on my list for tomorrow.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!

I found the easiest way to clean out my google reader was to make a folder named "delete" and add all of the blogs I wanted to unsubscribe from into it, then just mass unsubscribe with a select all within that folder.

Using Blogger, you can set the width of all 3 columns actually, it's in the "Template" section of the Design page, in there it's a button that says "Edit Template" then there's an option to "Adjust Widths" 🙂

Good luck with your list too!

Thanks so much for the tips…I'm going to try them both.
