My thoughts: This is the first book I’ve read by Julie Clark and it certainly will not be the last. I read this as a buddy read and it was such a great book to read with others.

I loved this book. Not only was it an incredibly fast-paced book that really kept you on your toes, but I loved the fact that it involved two smart women as main characters. That is something we generally don’t see and I thought it was so well-done. I flew through this one, reading it in a matter of hours, unable to put it down. I was so captivated by what was going on and needed to see how these women were going to get themselves out of their individual situations.

I loved the way this story was told, alternating between Claire and Eva’s points of view. I was totally invested in both their story’s and loved how it moved back and forth from the past to the present.

This story moves so quickly that you can’t help but get caught up in it. Between the fierce, strong women and the breakneck pace, you will be flipping those pages, trying to figure out just what is going on and how things will work out. I cannot recommend this one enough!
