“An exhilarating thrill

shocking as it is satisfying.”–Liv Constantine, bestselling author of The Last Mrs. Parrish and The Last Time I Saw You

Law
student Rachel North will tell you, without hesitation, what she knows
to be true. She’s smart, she’s a hard worker, she does the right thing,
she’s successfully married to a faithful and devoted husband, a lion of
Boston’s defense bar, and her internship with the Boston DA’s office is
her ticket to a successful future.

Problem is–she’s wrong.

And in this cat and mouse game–the battle for justice becomes a battle for survival.

The Murder List is
a new standalone suspense novel in the tradition of Lisa Scottoline and
B. A. Paris from award-winning author and reporter Hank Phillippi Ryan.

My thoughts: I have been a fan of Hank Phillippi Ryan for quite some time and am always left stunned at her books and this one was no exception. She is at the top of her game with this book and I am so glad I finally had a chance to read it.

I love a good cat and mouse game and this one really kept me guessing all the way until the very end. I had no idea where it was heading and I absolutely loved it! I had no idea who to trust and who was reliable and the further in I got, the more confused I got as to where the book might be heading. I had such a hard time putting this one down because I needed to find out who was behind the murder and also because I didn’t want to miss anything.

I loved that this book goes back and forth in time – there are so many moving parts and you really have to pay attention here. But it’s so worth it because it all comes together for such a brilliant ending and I really think I need to reread it to see if I missed any clues. Don’t  you love books like that?

I love Hank Phillippi Ryan’s books – they are always original and keep you guessing and this one completely proves that. I recently received a copy of her upcoming book, The First to Lie, which comes out later this summer, and I cannot wait to read it. While you are waiting for the new one to come out, I highly recommend picking up The Murder List…it’s totally binge-worthy and highly addicting – the perfect summer thriller!
