My thoughts: Once again I’m coming to the party late. Can you believe this is the first book I’ve ever read by writing duo Christina Lauren? I’ve seen so many of my book-loving friends rave about their books and so when the #Notyourmamasbookclub selected it as a pick for one of their buddy reads, I thought it was high time I decided to jump on the CL train.
I enjoyed the book. This writing duo definitely knows how to write a fun, lighthearted romcom that kept my interest the whole time. I always find it amazing how two authors can write so seamlessly…I would never have guessed that two authors penned this book.
This is definitely a quick read – it didn’t take me long to get into it and I found that once I started it, I was pretty invested in the characters. I might not have liked all of them, but I did want to see where everything was headed. I liked that it alternated back and forth between James and Carey, giving us both their points of view on what was going on. I always find it interesting to get both perspectives in a relationship.
I’m glad I finally gave this writing duo a chance. It was a fun book and I definitely plan on picking up another of their books soon. Do you have a favorite of theirs?
