Month in Review: May 2020

This month was a little harder than the past two months only in that I would have just gotten back from BookExpo had we not been in the middle of this pandemic. While I am still getting books from publishers – some print copies, but mostly e-galleys – I was just sad to not be able to see everyone and be able to hear about all the upcoming new books coming out. This has always been something I look forward to each year and I not only look forward to seeing all the publishers/publicists and authors, but also all my book friends from near and far that I really only get to see in person at this event. Hopefully next year this event will happen and I was excited that they did do some things online, but it was just not the same as being together in person.

Reading-wise, I managed to have another great month, but then again, when you aren’t doing much else, reading is definitely a saving grace! The weather has finally turned nice and we ordered our deck furniture so that should be here in the next week or so, so I will be out on my deck as much as possible!

28 books for the month – that's amazing! Plus you knocked a few off your unread shelf project.

    Happy reading in June!

So bummed that we didn't get to hang out at BookExpo! Our morning floor sitting strategy sessions were so fun. Here's to next year, hopefully!
