is Katherine Center at her very best: an utterly charming, hopeful, and
romantic novel that will capture reader’s hearts with every page.

My thoughts: It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by Katherine Center, but as soon as I started reading this one, I remembered why I love her books so much. She creates such wonderful characters and has such a way of weaving humor into her stories in the midst of personal growth.

I loved this book. It was such a heartfelt, heartwarming book, but at times, also heartbreaking. It really shows how at any point in our lives, at any second the worst can happen and it truly is up to us to decide how we are going to handle that. When life deals us lemons, are we going to make lemonade or not?

The characters in this book are so well drawn and complex. I felt that Margaret was quite a relatable character. I was cheering her on and found her strength and spirit to be quite admirable. This book is quite inspirational, one that definitely makes you appreciate all that you have, for sure!

I loved how Katherine Center balanced the humor in this book – at times this book would get a bit deep and heavy, but at just the right moment, when it seemed like things were getting too heavy and emotional, someone would come out with some one liner or someone would do something to lighten the mood. This was so appreciated and it definitely worked to keep the book from being too deep and heavy at any one time. But at the same time, it wasn’t too light and fluffy either. It was the perfect balance – one that I know will remain with me for a long time to come.

I have read most of Katherine’s books and cannot recommend them enough. They all have little bits of wisdom peppered throughout and leave you with food for thought along with a great story to get lost in – can you ask for more than that?
