#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in December 9

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About

Another good week and I even got in 2 really good training walks! I’m so grateful that I have a really good gym and a nice mall by me – winter is making it’s way to us sooner rather than later, so I’ll be making good use of the mall for my long walks 🙂 I can only walk on the treadmill for so long before I start to go stir-crazy!

December Goals:

  • 10K steps M-F, at least 7,500 steps on the weekend – 5/5, 0/2
  • 30 minutes of active walking every day, M-F – met
  • Eat
mindfully/eat enough (esp. in important while training!) – met

My training plan for the Challenge Walk MS I’ll be doing in March of 2017:

  • 4 miles, 2 days a week, interval training – Met
  • Distance walks (distances will vary, try to do 2 days, back-to-back ) – Met, 9 miles Mon & Tues
  • Try to attend one yoga class a week- didn’t make it this week 🙁

Here’s how my week went:

Dec  3:  4,875 steps
Dec  4:  6,445 steps
Dec  5:  23,180 steps (10K+ – 9.32 Charity Miles for MS)

Dec  9:  13,613 steps (5K+ – 4.58 Charity Miles for MS)
Total Steps: 96,874 steps

Audiobooks listened to this week (since I’m not much of a music fan, I listen to books while I walk):

  • Finished Evil Games by Angela Marsons, narrated by Jan Cramer
  • Started & Finished The Hidden Child by Camilla Lackberg, narrated by Simon Vance

How did your week go? You can find this week’s link-up here.

***In March of 2017, I’ll be doing the CHALLENGE WALK MS in Savannah, GA. It is a three-day, 50-mile walk that tests your strength and your
spirit, and makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of people
with MS and their families.
