#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in July 22

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About

Another week of heat, heat, heat and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight any time soon…the good news is that in 2 weeks, I’ll be at the beach for a week and I won’t care!!! In the meantime, I’ve been getting up and taking each dog on a longer walk first thing in the morning – they are really loving it and then I don’t feel bad when we just go for shorter walks in the afternoon and evening – even they aren’t liking the heat!

Update on July goals:

  • 10K steps M-F, at least 7,500 steps on the weekend – 4/5  & 2/2
  • Strength-training exercises 3x a week – Done!
  • Yoga 2-3 times a week – at least 15 minutes – Done!
  • Eat
mindfully – continue to drink a minimum of 64 oz of water, limit
caffeine intake, up intake of fruits and veggies, up intake of protein
at each meal, limit intake of sugar. – This week was better than last week – though with the heat, I have to admit, I didn’t really feel much like eating!

Oh, I forgot to indicate that the 10K was done at the gym on the treadmill…no way could I do one outdoors in this heat, unless I walked at 4am, but it's still dark out 😉
