#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in May 6

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About

It was a pretty good week. I ended up working from home because I had to keep an eye on my dog after her surgery – she’s ok, but has to wear a cone for 2 weeks. Boy is that getting old! But, we’ve been taking lots of walks – long walks just around our back yard because it takes forever for her to go!

Food-wise, I did pretty good. Working from home, I was able to plan out my meals and I stuck to it for the most part. I also did really well with my water intake – I drank at least 64 oz of water every day, most days getting 80 oz.

Here’s how my week went:

Apr 30:  9,435 steps
May  1:  13,018 steps (20 min yoga at home; 30 min walk)
May  2:  23,617 steps
(5K – 3.23 Charity miles for Girls on the Run; 15 min yoga at home)

May  3:  20,114 steps (10K -6.41 Charity miles for Girls on the Run; 15 min yoga at home)
May  4:  20,397 steps (30 min walk; 15 min yoga at home)

May  5:  20,303 steps (5K – 3.5 Charity miles for Girls on the Run)

May  6:  17,154 steps (5K – 3.36 Charity miles for Girls on the Run; 25 min yoga at home)
Total Steps: 124,038 steps

Wow, impressive job with the 5Ks and 10K and all those steps! Glad your dog is doing well after surgery too.

I feel like I have a harder time eating healthier when I'm at home because I'm driven to snack more. I have to make sure I at least have healthy snacks on hand since I don't have much willpower 🙂

Hope you're dog can lose the cone for good soon. I remember how hard that can be for dogs and people 🙂 Have a good week!
