#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in May 27

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About

I seem to have gotten off track with my yoga and need to fix that…while I haven’t actually made it to classes in a while, I had been doing some yoga at home and was feeling good about it – and could actually start to feel the difference. I found some really great yoga flows on pinterest and would mix up what I would do each day…I just need to get back to doing that and hopefully find time to fit in a class or two as well.

Our weather has gone from cold to hot in the blink of an eye, so now I really need to get those walks in early in the morning if I want to walk outside or use the gym or mall! I’ll be upping my mileage soon – I’m doing a big walk early next year and need to up my endurance…more on this in the coming weeks 😉

Here’s how my week went:

May 21:  15,486 steps (5K – 4 Charity miles for Girls on the Run)
May 22:  13,220 steps
May 23:  17,234 steps
(30 min walk)

Awesome week! I went to my first official yoga class on Friday morning with one of my girlfriends who is a big fan and goes several days a week. I enjoyed it – it was a nice change of pace!

Thanks Brandie…Yoga for me is my way of insuring I get stretching and some strength-training in. Plus I love the mindfulness of it!

The temps are warming up here. I realize I need to walk early or late, outside, if I want to get an outdoor walk in. You did great this week with your walking.

We just had a crazy heat snap – it was really hot this past weekend! I don't know what that means for the coming summer…but I hope it doesn't stay that hot all that summer!

I love yoga too! I downloaded a great app on my phone called the Down Dog app, that instructs you through some great flows! Great work on the step this week too!

Nice work. We are still having cool days and not too many hot days, so my walks haven't been impacted to much. Great job on all your walks!
