#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in April 8

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About

I really wish the weather would stay consistent…we’ve had some really nice, warm weather and then it gets cold again! This weekend it’s cold with the potential for snow – I’m so done with snow! And we have frost warnings for both days this weekend. My poor plants are never going to bloom at this rate. I just want to get outside and walk in the mornings, but it’s way too cold for that!

I’m really liking the new Fitbit Alta. Half the time I don’t even realize I’m wearing it, and I do like the reminders throughout the day to get up and move if I have been sitting still too long. Though, if I’ve already met my step goal for the day or gotten my workout in, I do tend to ignore it. And it’s funny – 2 women I work with have gotten the Alta as well!

Here’s how my week went:

Nice work! Okay… you've convinced me. I'm totally getting an Alta. That is awesome that it reminds you to get up and move during the day. I don't see why Fitbit didn't add that feature to the other models with an OS update. Oh well! Hope you stay warm and have a good week!

Yes, it's a really nice feature! The only thing it doesn't track is flight of stairs – but that's ok. Hope you have a nice week, too!!!

I am tired of snow too. We got hit yesterday (though not as bad as Cleveland which supposedly had 6 inches) and I had to work. Thankfully my director decided to open the library at noon and by that time the roads were much better. I really hope the spring weather we had in March comes back soon!

Good job with the steps! I am glad to hear you like the Alta. I will have to upgrade from my Fitbit One next year. I could use those reminders to move!

Since it's still April here the frost will stay…for quite some time. But at least it is warmer, yay

I'll consider an alta when my fitbit one dies! Those reminders could be annoying but effective! You are doing great.
