The Sunday Post #93 (12.6.15)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase
books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up
on our blog for the week ahead. I’m also going to link this up with Kathryn’s
It’s Monday post over at Book Date.

Thank goodness for audio books!!! I feel like I can still get in some reading-time while doing stuff around the house – cleaning, laundry, decorating, baking, even crocheting!!! I need to get my Christmas cards done this week and finish decorating the house.  I got all my winter/holiday candles this week at Bath and Body Works – they had a crazy sale on their 3-wick candles!!! I totally took advantage and am set for a while 🙂

Have a great week everyone!!!

The Bath and Body Works sale got me too. I love their candles but at full price they can get a little pricey. I love using audio books when I'm cleaning. I've found I clean way better when I'm listening to a book because I'm not in a hurry to be done. Have a great week and enjoy your new books!

Exactly…I don't mind how long it takes, because I've got a book to make it much more enjoyable!!!

I concur. One time I was cooking and the girls were playing computer games so I put on The Secret Garden from YouTube on my phone and that got me going.

Okay now I see how two audiobooks completed! With so much to do good way to go. Have to admit I don't often listen while working around the house. I love quiet and my brain needs to just chill out!

Yeah – I listen every spare minute – even while doing my hair 😉

I was disappointed to miss the candle sale. I love their candle fragrances and wall plugins. I'm glad you were able to stock up 🙂

I like listening to audio books while I drive. It makes my work commute go by faster. I tried listening to audio books while cleaning but I've found it just distracts me so I listen to Pandora instead.

It's funny, b/c I happened to be shopping on Friday and went into a B&BW and asked about when the candles were going on sale and the girl said they never know. I had time, so I went thru all the candles and made a list on my phone of which ones I liked. Then I got the email Saturday morning that they were on sale and I was in & out of the store in 10 minutes!!! So psyched!!!

I can't wait to start Missing Pieces – I loved Little Mercies. Haven't read anything else by her, though. Have you?

I love their sale and the three-wick candles are a favorite of mine. Yes, audiobooks are a blessing. Hope your week is a good one. It's so nice you crochet. My mother did all of that, but as a lefty I never got it.

Kimba – I am a lefty…I actually had to go the library to learn to crochet as my mom and grandma, who both crochet, are righties and could not teach me. Luckily there was a librarian when I was young – I think I learned when I was 10 – that was able to crochet both rightie and leftie!!!

I tried to get Missing Pieces from Netgalley and couldn't. Looking forward to your review on that one.

Oh, that's a bummer…I'm really looking forward to it. I've only read one other book by her – Little Mercies, but really enjoyed it. Have you read any of her other books?

I wish I could appreciate audiobooks. I find my mind wandering too easily unless words are in front of my eyes. Here is what I did last week. Happy reading

Sometimes that happens to me, but I've been listening long enough now, that it doesn't happen as often, plus I find that mysteries/thrillers keep my attention focused.

I love candles, my addiction to candles from 'Dusk' was breaking the bank so now I make my own soy candles lol. Still can't resist a good sale though. I'd be lost without audio books, especially at this crazy time of the year. I wish The Hundred Gifts would hurry up and come out on audio. Have a great week and happy reading 🙂
