The Sunday Post #90 (11.15.15)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase
books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up
on our blog for the week ahead. I’m also going to link this up with Kathryn’s
It’s Monday post over at Book Date.

It seems that I’m always late to jump onto certain bandwagons, but so be it…the latest ones I’ve decided to jump on are the bullet journal and the KonMari organizing/decluttering method. Now that I’m not working my day job anymore, I realized the planner I had is not as functional as I would like. I started looking into a few others and decided I really liked the idea of the bullet journal. I haven’t bought anything yet – I’m just using an old notebook I have and playing around with different layouts. My goal is to find my style and comfort with this new system and be ready to go for Jan 1. As for the KonMari method, I’ve been saying for a while that I desperately need to declutter and organize my house and so many people have raved about this method that I went out and bought the book this morning. I’m going to take my time, read the book and really try to apply the tips/techniques that she offers. I hope it works.

Have a great week everyone!!!

I'll be curious to see what you think of the KonMari method. In some ways I've found it really helpful. I've gotten way better at getting rid of stuff that I didn't need and wasn't enjoying and the vertical folding is awesome and not at all hard to maintain. However, I found a lot of it not as useful but I wonder if that's my own personal mental block. Have a fantastic week!

Okay I need to look up the KonMari method! My house needs a huge clear out. I am so lazy and unmotivated. I am not sure about planning though, perhaps I should. Though since I retired and teachers had to plan all the time its kinda nice not to plan.
This last week I read Dear Carolina by Kristy Woodson Harvey, I remembered it from your review – saw it at the library and snapped it up.

Do you like The Liar on Audio? I am always afraid to try audio books because if the narration isn't good, I can't keep listening!

Congratulations on your job adventure! I am looking forward to what you thought of Spider's Web as I have it sitting on my stacks. Definitely looking forward to the new Joshilyn Jackson book.

keen to see what you think of the KonMari method, I've pinned a few Konmari tips on Pinterest as I seriously need to do some decluttering. At the moment I'm just thinking about it instead of doing lol. Have a great week!
    Great

What's a bullet journal? Good luck with it and the decluttering. I need to work on that too.

Journaling? Decluttering? Just thinking about that makes me tired. Good luck with both. I enjoyed These Shallow Graves and hope you do too. Check out my week here. Happy reading!
