#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in November 6

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About

What wonderful weather we had this week, so I took full advantage of it and walked outside everyday!!! I had to babysit my 2 adorable nieces on Monday and Tuesday, so I walked with them those days – they love going for walks and looking at all the Halloween decorations that are still up.

This past week, I started tracking my food. I didn’t adjust what I ate yet – I just ate what I normally do, but wrote it all done…what an eye opener!!! Now, I’ll start playing around and working on upping veggie/fruit intake as well as cutting out some processed food. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I also did it because I have developed rosacea on my face right around my mouth and am trying to figure out what is triggering the outbreaks. The dermatologist has given me a cream to use, but I don’t want to have to use it forever. I’ve also increased my water intake, managing to drink at least 72 oz of water every day since November 1. I’m hoping to continue to this trend.

Here’s how my week went:

Oct 31:  10,439 steps
Nov  1:  2 mile walk with dog, 12,120 steps
Nov  2:  2.5 mile walk,
15,116 steps

Nov  3:  2 mile walk, 10,159 steps
Nov  4:  2 mile walk, 11,486 steps

Sounds like you're really stepping it up, nice going. Hope you can work out what's causing the rosacea, not pleasant.

Looks like a great walking week. And congrats on journalling. I have been doing it every day for almost 2 years. It's really made a difference. Sometimes I use it as a tool to plan ahead, and other times as a reminder not to go overboard. But even when I do eat too much, I am honest in my journaling. What are you using to track?
