The Sunday Post #82 (8.30.15)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase
books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up
on our blog for the week ahead. I’m also going to link this up with
Sheila’s
It’s Monday post over at Book Journey.

What a whirlwind this month turned out to be! I had my two week of vacation – one week of which we spent at the beach, which was heaven!!! So much so that we have already tentatively booked for next year! The house we rented was right on the bay and just amazing. We were able to relax and had a great view for the sunsets each night. It was the perfect week! Then I came home, still had 3 days of vacation left, worked for 2 days and then headed down to North Carolina’s to my mom’s for a week because she was having surgery and needed some help afterwards. I just got back from her house yesterday. Luckily, I was able to work while I was down there, but still – I feel as if I’ve been gone forever! It was so nice to sleep in my own bed last night. Now I’m ready to buckle down and get myself back on a regular routine – no more traveling for me for a while!!!

Have a great week everyone!!!

What a lovely vacation! It sounds so relaxing at the beach and I can definitely see why you'd want to rebook there next year. Hope your mother recovered from her surgery nicely and going back to work isn't too painful! You got some fantastic books! I love Laura Childs' books but I haven't read nearly enough of them. I read The Naked Eye and enjoyed it and have a book by Mary Alice Monroe that I'm looking forward to reading. Have a great week!

It sounds like a great vacation and I hope your mother is doing well. Today I just found out there is a 4th book for The Millennium Trilogy and its getting mixed reviews. I wish they would make the US version movies for the other books. I really liked that series. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!

Ah wonderful holiday and wonderful to come home. I see a Penny Vincenzi book there, which is actually sitting on my bookshelf to be read too. However I have a few of her others to read as well. They are so big it is a little off putting!

I love traveling but there is nothing as blissful as my own pillow and bed. Well, maybe my coffee maker..LOL Good luck catching up.

Your month went fast as did mine! I've read a couple of books from your list. I hope you enjoy The Paris Key as much as I did.

I love to vacation at the beach. It is so hard to return from a vacation to real life.
