#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in May 15

#FitReaders is hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About

So, this week I gave myself the goal of getting 100,000 steps during the week (M-F)…and I did it!!! I basically made sure to get 20,000 steps each day and therefore I was able to reach the goal, but that did mean a lot of walking while watching tv towards the end of the night just to make sure I did get those steps in.

I also decided that I will be walking my first full marathon this October. I’ve done 2 half-marathons so far and I’m quite excited about this one. It’s a charity walk for Breast Cancer hosted by Walk the Walk, known as the  #MoonWalk,  and it’s in New York City. I did the half-marathon last year with them and it was a great experience – walking in New York City at night in your bra is an amazing experience and I can’t wait to do it again!

Here’s how my week went:

May  9:  7,042 steps
May 10  6,507 steps
May 11:   30 minute fitness walk with dog (20,016 steps)
May 12:  5k at gym  (20,467 steps)

May 13:  5k at gym (20,083 steps)

May 14:  30 minute fitness walk with dog (20,345 steps)

May 15:  30 minute fitness walk with dog (20,554 steps)

Audiobooks listened to this week – Finished The Bone Tree by Greg Iles, narrated by Robert Petkoff and started The Summer Girls by Mary Alice Monroe, narrated by Mary Alice Monroe.

How did your week go? You can find this week’s link-up here.

Thanks Trish…I'm super excited about the marathon. I'll be talking about it more in the upcoming weeks – but you might have just seen/heard about the one they did in London this weekend(last night actually). They do the same on in NYC – last year it was in July, but this year they are doing it in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
