The Sunday Post #57 (2.1.15)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. I’m also going to link this up with Sheila’s
It’s Monday post over at Book Journey

It’s been another exciting week here – I have another new niece!!! I haven’t met her yet, so no pictures, but this now makes 12 nieces!!! Girls certainly are taking over this next generation in my family – I only have 6 nephews. Oh well, guess I better get started on the baby blanket! Luckily, there are quite a few tv shows that are waiting in my DVR to watch! We have another snow storm approaching tonight into tomorrow, this time with the threat of some ice as well. Hopefully the ice isn’t too bad. Hubby made chili, potato soup and clam chowder yesterday, so we have a fridge/freezer full of hearty meals for the week…so lucky I have a guy that loves to cook!!!

Have a great week everyone!!!

Congratulations on your new niece!! How exciting and it definitely does sound like you'll be overrun by little girls. Sounds like you'll be eating well with all those hearty soups! Stay warm! We just have rain in the forecast thankfully. I don't like snow. Have a great week!

Thank you! Yes…those soups will be perfect for this week! I don't mind the snow, but it does get a little old after a while!

Congratulations on the new niece! We are also expecting a winter storm, 25-35 cm of snow! I have a few things to go and do today but am hoping to be home before the worst of it hits! So jealous that your hubby cooks!!

Thanks! So far, we've gotten at least 6 inches out of this latest storm and now we're getting an icy/sleeting mix. Yes, I'm very lucky that hubby cooks – and he's very good at it!!!

Enjoyed your Picoult review (I just read it and decided to comment here) I have been thinking about reading that but ugh – my TBR is on a diet because I am so behind. I am working really hard of decreasing the list and the many books I have been sent.

Thanks…it was a fantastic book! Let me know if you do read it! I am always behind on books and reading everyone's weekly posts does nothing to help that!

Congrats on your niece! We're expecting a storm tonight too. I don't think it will be as bad as our last snowfall but it's sounding like ice might be a big problem.

    Have a great week!

Thanks! Yes – the ice is what is worrying me with this storm, too! So far we've gotten 6 inches of snow and now it's that icy/sleet mix. Just hope we don't lose power!

A good start to the year. Everywhere I go The Girl on the Train is mentioned, it seems to be the book hype is working and it sounds like it is good. Your book haul promises some interesting reading. I got Never Too Late as well, have it around the house as well somewhere in my Read books, but can't hunt through them all to find it.

aww congrats on your new niece? you must have a big family, I have 1 sister and 1 niece lol. Wish my hubby cooked, well he can cook but it's not very appealing so I cook most of the time.
Love SAA and I really enjoyed First Frost and I've just started The Girl on the Train on audio, not far in but the narrator is good. Happy reading and stay safe with those snow storms!
