So if you remember in last week’s post, I mentioned that my sister-in-law was due to have her baby this past week…well, she did!!! She had a little girl – Ingrid Evangeline and that makes niece #11 for me! We are heading up to see them for Thanksgiving and I can’t wait to get some snuggle-time in with her…there’s nothing better than that new-baby smell!
I managed to get back down to see my sister and baby Nora (niece #10) yesterday and give her her new blanket that I made this past week – luckily these blankets only take a few days to make! Now I just have to finish up Ingrid’s blanket and then I can get back to finishing up the scarves I am making as Christmas presents for some of my other nieces.

Thank you…yes 11 nieces and another on the way in Feb, plus 6 nephews! I come from a big family – I'm the oldest of 7, so it seems someone is always having a baby! 🙂

Oh, congrats on the new niece! I wish I had more granddaughters…(only two!), with five grandsons, and I had only one daughter, with three sons. A plethora of males…LOL.

And on my family on the family, it seems this new generation is all girls – there are 10 girls and only 3 boys!
I'm really enjoying The Look of Love – it's my first Sarah Jio book! I heard great things about You and when I saw it was only $2.99 I couldn't resist. Don't know when I'll get to it, but at least I have it now.
Wow! 11 nieces! My sister-in-law made a blanket like the one you make for the Tornado was born and I loved it. I could put it on him to keep him warm but since it had holes I didn't have to worry about it going over his face.

The blankets remind me of the crocheting I once did. Nice and cosy for the young ones! Lots of good books here again. Have been tempted myself to read House Broken myself and might just too.
Yes – they are the perfect size for the stroller or car seat! I couldn't resist with House Broken as I have 2 chocolate labs!
You are lucky to have all those babies in your family. We have no prospects these days. it's now all our nieces and nephews marrying and babies aren't in the plans yet….bummer!
Not having kids myself, I live for my nieces and nephews! I spent a fair amount of time with as many of them as I can, though some are closer geographically than others.
