The Sunday Post #30 (7.6.14)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I’ve
decided to try a new weekly meme – a place where I can do both a weekly
wrap up and share what books I get all in one post, so I’m going to
give The Sunday Post a try, and also link up with Sheila’s It’s Monday Post over at Book Journey.

And, we’re back from vacation…Mexico was fabulous!!! We usually go to Aruba each year, but my cousin was getting married in Playa del Carmen, so we decided to go and make that our vacation for the year. It was so much fun being away but still hanging out with family. Two of my brothers were there with their wives and one had their 1 year-old daughter with them. My dad also went and I got to see some cousins that I hadn’t seen in almost 10 years. While I didn’t get as much reading done as I would have liked, I enjoyed hanging out with my family – swimming with my niece, hanging in the pool with my sisters-in-law and brothers, and my cousins.

My view for the week

Of course, coming back home wasn’t easy but I still had a few more days off before heading back to work.

Have a great week everyone!!!

Sounds like you had a fantastic vacation! We're reading some of the same books (I'm enjoying them – what a great year for books). Hope you're adjusting well to after-vacation life. Have a good week!

Sounds like a great vacation! I'm very curious about the Kate White book and the Susan Mallery as well. I've read a few Mallery books and have had mixed luck with her. Have a great week!

It really was, Katherine. I liked the Kate White book, but like her Bailey Weggins books better – this was a stand-alone. I've enjoyed all the Susan Mallery books I've read…I find them easy, quick romantic reads. Which ones have you read?

Thanks Nise…it was really hard to leave that! I don't know how Susan Mallery keeps coming up with fun, fresh stories in her Fool's Gold series…they just keep getting better and better!

Oh Mexico sounds like a perfect holiday. So pleased it went well for you. Lots of great books as usual. I must try a Beth Ciotta and a Beth Albright book to see if I like them.

It really was, Kathryn – a bit hot, but lots of fun with all my family there. I enjoy both Beth Ciotta and Beth Albright. Both have some good series out.

Wow, nice haul of books–I'm grabbing my pen and jotting down some of the names I want to check out further, so thanks for that.
Glad you enjoyed your vacation. The photo looks wonderful!

Yay for vacations and views like that one. The weekend drove me batty with things to do and little reading time. Back in the groove today!
Have a great week and stop by to see what I read. wp.me/p4FP94-xa
