The Sunday Post #28 (6.15.14)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I’ve
decided to try a new weekly meme – a place where I can do both a weekly
wrap up and share what books I get all in one post, so I’m going to
give The Sunday Post a try, and also link up with Sheila’s It’s Monday Post over at Book Journey.

Well, this past week certainly didn’t go as planned. I ended up going to the doctor on Tuesday because my back/tailbone was still really bothering me. The doctor put me on full bed rest for a few days and modified bed rest for a week. What a difference that made! I am still on the modified bed rest and plan on taking it easy all week just to be on the safe side. Only good thing about the few days of full bed rest is that I did get in quite a bit of reading time!

Have a great week everyone!!!

Glad to hear you're feeling some better after your bed rest. I really need to jump on One Plus One. I've got several review books that I need to read ASAP and that's one of them! Hope you have a great week!

I'm glad your doctor had such a good idea, but you're right about keeping things slow, better safe than sorry. Have a better week !

Bedrest sounds fantastic but I'm sure if it was actually happening to me I'd go crazy! Hopefully everything is feeling better now. I'm looking forward to your reviews coming up. They're all books I've either read or are on my TBR. Have a great week!

Will be looking forward to your upcoming reviews. Yes I bet bed rest gets "old" really fast. I always think it would be great, but when it happens – not so much.

Well if you're going to be in bed rest you at least made good use of your time!! We're reading so many similar books right about now. BTW, I loved One Plus One!!
    Hope you're feeling 100% soon.

I'm sure you're 'over' the bed rest but glad it's helping and at least there are books … good books. I finished The Collector last week, I didn't enjoy it as much as The Witness but still a good listen. Plenty on your list I'm keen to read. Hope you're 100% soon!

Sorry to hear about your back, what a pain – quite literally. But isn't it great to get some extra reading time, and to be honest, sometimes we just need a break from it all.
Have a great week and Happy Reading.

It seems as though Megan Abbott's book is really hot! Sorry about the corny pun. Hope you are feeling better soon.
