My thoughts: It’s amazing that with a long-standing series, Susan Mallery is able to continue to bring us new, fresh stories with each new book. This latest brings us the romance of Patience and Justice. What I loved about them is that they were friends back in high school and have reconnected – much like the story of my husband and I, so of course this story has a special place in my heart! There’s also a sweet story involving Patience’s mother, who has been Patience’s rock while raising her young daughter.
Being that this is the first of the new trilogy, it sets the stage for the next two books and I’m looking forward to getting to know these new gals that we meet. I love that not only do we get to meet new friends with each trilogy but we also see familiar friends we’ve already come to love, plus we get to visit our favorite fictitious town, Fool’s Gold – if only this place really existed!

I just finished A Fool's Gold Christmas, and have When We Met. A great series.
I love Susan Mallery but I am so behind on the Fools Gold series! And this book sounds really good. I agree with you about her writing, each story is special and keeps you going back to her for more. I have the books so hopefully I'll be able to read them soon.
I too like Kathy have fallen by the wayside with the Fool's Gold books. Maybe one day I will get back to them. I find I already have a few small town series that I follow, and I like to mix it up with other types of books, so have let this series and Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor ones taper off. Who knows, might go back to them.
