Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in May 9, 2014

#BookBlogWalkers is hosted by Felicia @ The Geeky Bloggers Book Blog

I’ve been slacking on my training for my next 1/2 marathon – it’s the end of July and I really need to get my butt in gear and get back to a serious training plan! Next week I’ll be back on track – not that I haven’t been walking all along, but I need to get back to getting those distance walks in otherwise I’ll be one unhappy camper come the night of the 1/2 marathon. (And yes – you read that right – this next 1/2 marathon is a night walk!!! I’ll share more details as the event gets closer!)

Here’s how my week went:

Apr 26:  rest
Apr 27:  rest
Apr 28:  45 minutes
Apr 29:  30 minutes + 1 hour yoga

Apr 30:  45 minutes
May  1:  30 minutes

May  2:  30 minutes

How did your week go?

Good job! I have kept "on track" for my exercise, pretty much, this week!

Thanks Suko. When you have a group that you are "reporting" back to, it helps keep you motivated and on track!

Thanks Katheryn! I'm excited about this one as it's for charity – and it's at night! Should be fun!!!

It's a 1/2 marathon and I'm doing it with my mom and sister so it shouldn't be so bad. It's for charity and I'm really looking forward to it.

Great job! I'm also supposed to be training for a 5k Diva Run in June. I did start running in January but lately I haven't been. I need to start again since the race is in a couple of weeks!! I'm running with my sisters and this is our first race, so it should be fun (we have matching tutus lol). So your race is at night? Is it a neon race? Because I've done the Neon Splash Dash (they throw paint on you) and it was a lot of fun. My group walked the race and I did get some paint in my eye but it still was fun. Good luck on your training and have a great time with your Mom and sister!!
