The Sunday Post #18 (4.6.14)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I’ve
decided to try a new weekly meme – a place where I can do both a weekly
wrap up and share what books I get all in one post, so I’m going to
give The Sunday Post a try, and also link up with Sheila’s It’s Monday Post over at Book Journey.

So, after a great week of reading last week, this week – not so much! Life just seems to get in the way these days…I need to figure out a way to create more time in the day so I can fit everything in – work, working out, reading, blogging, cleaning my house, laundry, etc!

I’m off to New Hampshire for the week to visit my dad. He had fallen a few weeks ago while skiing and broke his right shoulder and left leg. After a some time in a rehab center, he’s finally home, so I figured I’d go hang out with him for the week. I’m hoping while I’m up there that I’ll get some decent reading/blogging time in. Plus, I need to start figuring out my schedule for BEA – it’s going to be here before I know it!!!

Have a great week everyone!!!

Glad to hear your dad is doing better. I hope you enjoy spending time with him on your trip and are able to get some reading done. I definitely understand wanting some more hours in the day to get stuff done. Have a great week!

Thank you Sandy. I'm looking forward to the week with my dad – it's been a while since I've been up to his house, so it should be fun and luckily, he's a big reader, too, so there should be lots of down time for reading!

I really loved Another Piece of My Heart…and I have an e-book collection of some Anne of Green Gables books that I can't wait to read. Enjoy your stack…and your week in New Hampshire. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Thanks Laurel-Rain. I had heard really good things about Another Piece of My Heart but glad to hear you liked it, too! Anne of Green Gables was my favorite series when I was young and I just couldn't resist picking up the series with the new covers for my book collection.

Have you tried audio? I listen while cleaning, and hope to do walking when the weather warms up.

Sorry about your Dad, but enjoy the week in NH with him. I have Safe With Me on my kindle which I will be reading very soon. I have yet to read a Jane Green book, but I think I should give her a try based on so many good reviews of her books all around. Have a good week and enjoy.

That sounds like some mean ski accident your Dad had. Are you going to reread all the Anne of Green Gables books? I so loved them back in the day.
