The Sunday Post #4 (12.22.13)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about
what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I’ve
decided to try a new weekly meme – a place where I can do both a weekly
wrap up and share what books I get all in one post, so I’m going to
give The Sunday Post a try, and also link up with Sheila’s It’s Monday Post over at Book Journey

Well – we’ve gone from freezing temps to temps in the 60s…and all the snow has melted. So much for a white Christmas here in New York! Oh well…

Can’t believe Christmas is almost here. I have all my shopping done – just need to wrap all the gifts. Yesterday I did some baking – had to finish making fudge and I wasn’t alone…it seemed quite a few of us on twitter were all making fudge. I make two kinds: regular chocolate fudge and a peppermint fudge that uses dark chocolate and then crushed candy cane pieces sprinkled on top. I made both last year to bring to my in-laws for dessert on Christmas Eve and they were a hit (and quite easy to make so I don’t mind making them again!).

Happy holidays to all…safe travels for those that are traveling and enjoy all the family time.

Yes, it's been in the 70s this week where I live. Definitely not normal Christmas weather. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your new books!

Wow, 60's! It's about 30 here and we got more snow last night (and freezing rain before that- yay ice!). So we'll definetly have a white Christmas!

Have a great holiday and happy reading.

Another wonderful sounding bunch of books, I have just started Sherryl Woods Ocean Breeze books. Finished the first one last week. I am not sure if I will read LLM's Big Sky books, sometimes I like her books and sometimes I don't.
My Its Monday post for this week
    Have a great Christmas.

The dark chocolate peppermint fudge sounds heavenly! I will be making mint chocolate brownies to take to my sister's for Christmas tomorrow. I don't mind the lack of snow at Christmas because it makes it safer to travel. For awhile I was worried that we would have a snow storm like we did before Thanksgiving. Sadly it is cold here again but at least the roads are good 🙂

    Merry Christmas!
