It’s Monday…What Are You Reading? (7.1.13)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, is the perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs.

How is it July 1st already? I need to get some serious reading in if I am going to be successful in my reading challenges! I have some I haven’t even started…good thing there are some bookish events coming up that will help me out. Stay tuned for details!

Speaking of July 1 – as of today Google Reader is history. As a replacement, I am using Bloglovin’ which I actually like. It’s relatively easy to navigate and is compatible with both my phone (an Android) and my iPad. What are you using now?

I know…if only I spent as much time reading as I did online I'd be much further ahead of the game!

I am using Bloglovin too. I never really checked my Google Reader very often so I don't miss it I guess.

I want to read The Apple Orchard and A Hundred Summers. Great books for this time of year! I loved The Firebird.

I agree that this summer is just going by too quickly. I am not ready for it to be July.

I just started The Apple Orchard last night and only got a few pages in before falling asleep…but I do enjoy Susan Wiggs' books, so I'm hoping this one is as good!

I loved The Firebird as well…did you read The Winter Sea?

I look forward to seeing reviews on some of the books you've mentioned here.

When I was compiling my monthly round up post I had a 'It's July!' moment… I don't have any challenges to complete but I am a little behing on my Goodreads count.

I too am using Bloglovin'. It seems easy enough.

The Apple Orchard looks so enticing…I have added it to my list.

I've finally put BlogLovin' on my Blogger sites…I'm not sure how to transfer the followers over from Google….I transferred the ones I was following, but I guess the followers just have to click on the new icon.

Enjoy your week. Here's MY MONDAY READING POST

Susanna Kearsley is one of several authors I keep buying books by, but never getting around to reading! Like Kate Morton and Elizabeth Chadwick. I figure the important thing is to have them in my book collection, and I can get to them when I want to, right? 🙂

I'm not sorry to see Google Reader go, I've decided. I stopped using it because it was so clunky – I guess they stopped spending money on it some time ago!

    Have a great week!

I was the same until I got The Firebird for the SheReads book club…now I can't wait to go back and read some of her other books! I also have a few Kate Morton books sitting on my shelf waiting to be read!
