Bout of Books 6.0: Wrap Up Post

I participated in the Bout of Books 6.0 last week and while I got a lot done, I didn’t get quite as much as I was hoping. Here is some info about the read-a-thon from the
founders:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender
and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that
begins 12:01am Monday, January 7th and runs through Sunday, January 13th
in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and
the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of
books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand
prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 6.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. -From the Bout of Books 6.0 team

My Goals:

  • To read/ listen at least 2 hours a day M-F and at least 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday
  • To finish at least 4 complete books, plus the 1 that I need to finish
  • To listen to at least 3 hours of audio

What I Accomplished:

  • Finished The Winter Palace – had 117 pages left as start of read-a-thon
  • Read  and completed:
    • The Look of Love by Bella Andre
    • Perfect Fit by Carly Phillips
    • From This Moment On by Bella Andre
    • The Forgotten Queen by DL Bogdan
  • Audio:
    • Seven Up by Janet Evanovich – finished – 7 hours 10 minutes
    • Summer House by Nancy Thayer – 2 hours 40 minutes
    • Hard Eight by Janet Evanovich –  2 hours 15 minutes

Overall Totals

Pages read: 1042

Books finished: 5

Time reading: 19 hours 20 minutes

Time listening: 12 hours 5 minutes

Overall time: 31 hours 25 minutes

So, I got 5 books done, but 2 were not from the original list. Still, it was a good week!

Great Job! This bout of books seems to have been a good one for most everyone.

Good on your Audio challenge as well. I might throw that in to mine next time as well.

Five books in a week is fantastic! Sometimes the books you didn't plan to read are the ones that you loved the most. 🙂
