Book Beginnings Friday: Sleep No More

Please join Rose City Reader
every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are
reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence,
impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.  Please
remember to include the title of the book and the author.

I’m reading Sleep No More by Iris Johansen:

The kill should be ridiculously easy.

I waited very patiently for this book to
come in at the library…I absolutely love Iris Johansen’s Eve Duncan
series and was so afraid that after she had written those 3 books to
finally tell us what happened to Eve’s daughter, Bonnie, the series
would end. After all, finding Bonnie has been a driving force in Eve’s
life since Bonnie went missing so many years ago.  I am about halfway
through this book and am loving it…I really hope this series
continues.

I
haven’t read any of the books that Iris Johansen has co-written with
her son, Roy, but apparently the last two books the duo wrote introduce
us to Kendra Michaels who is a character in this book. Has anyone read
these two books – With Open Eyes and Close Your Eyes?

I have 5 Iris Johansen's on my TBR mountain. I am so far behind on my "to read" books that I don't think I will ever catch up. My Friday Memes posts are featuring Dead Spots by Melissa F. Olson and Dark Star by Bethany Frenette. Happy reading!

I feel that I am always behind, too! The only reason I am reading this now is because I had reserved it from the library and only have it for 2 weeks.

I have seen movies based on her books, and on the Eve Duncan series, so I really MUST read them now! Thanks for reminding me….

She's a great author – especially if you like psychological thrillers!

I love Johansen too and have to get back to the series. I am a could handful behind. Glad she is still putting out the good suspense.
