Summer Wrap-up Read-a-thon: Goals

This read-a-thon is hosted by Jennifer at Some Like It Paranormal and Jude at In Between and it’s my very first read-a-thon!!!

Details

The read-a-thon takes place August 4th-August 12th. It will provide some motivation
to finish up all the reading you were hoping to get done over the
summer. You can read whatever you want and as much or little as you
want. For more information or to sign up, head over here. For a schedule of the event, click here.

Aim

Being that this is my first read-a-thon, I am not really sure what to expect. I happen to have some flexibility with my job at the moment, so other than a few hours of data entry during the week, I pretty much have the whole week free to read!

Books

Here are the list of books I am hoping to get to – a combo of review books and some books that I really wanted to get to this summer.

  • Angel’s Peak by Robyn Carr (have 100 pages left)
  • Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel (need to read Part 1 this week for the Read-a-long)
  • Runaway Girl by Carissa Phelps – review book
  • Ninepins by Rosy Thornton – review book
  • The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest by Stieg Larsson- from tbr pile
  • The Color of Tea by Hannah Tunnicliffe – review book
  • When First They Met by Debbie Macomber – from tbr pile
  • Milk Glass Moon by Adriana Trigiani – from tbr pile

My list is probably pretty ambitious, but that’s ok…even if I get to half of these, I’ll be  pretty happy 🙂

I will be posting updates throughout the read-a-thon and also will try to participate in some of the challenges. Are you participating? What are your goals? Let me know and I will come visit and cheer you on!!!

Yay, your first read-a-thon! Hope you have a lovely week then, and good luck! I REALLY need to get hold of a copy of Wolf Hall at some point, and the Millennium Trilogy is STILL sitting unloved on Mount TBR… Come say hi if you get chance, I've got quite a pile to get through myself! 🙂

Thanks Ellie!!! I'm excited to read Wolf Hall and with the read-a-long it will force me to get to it sooner rather than later. I just finished reading the 2nd in the Millennium trilogy and can't wait to start the 3rd.

I know something about ambitious lists. I bet I won't read even half of my TBR : O

It was pretty cool – the author sent me a finished copy and I was thrilled to see my name and blog on the back! Can't wait to see what you think of the book. Did you read the first one, Releasing Gillian's Wolves?

I have always wanted to eventually read the series by Stieg Larsson! The movies were awesome!
Thanks so much for joining us and good luck!

Great list you got there. The only one out of those that I have read is Stieg Larsson's book – it is a good trilogy as i am sure you already know from the first two books!
