It’s Monday…What Are You Reading? (5.21.12)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, isthe perfect way
for me to
begin my week and allows me to
focus on what
needs to be read and to see what I
have or have not
accomplished the previous week.
I also enjoy
discovering new books by
visiting other participants
blogs

How is it already Monday??? I don’t know where last week went and as you can see from below, wherever it went, it didn’t include much reading time or time for reviews. The good news is that I spent all day Friday down at the boat club volunteering for the Adapted Sailing Program and then on Saturday we had my brother’s celebration of marriage (apparently unbeknownst to any of us he and his wife eloped a year and a half ago!).

Hopefully this week will settle down and I will get in some much-needed reading time. I can’t believe the upcoming weekend is already Memorial Day weekend. I am hoping for another beautiful weekend as my husband is sailing all three days and I would love nothing more than to sit on the deck of the boat club while getting some sun and reading!

Wow, your brother … 18 months is a long time to keep that secret. Hope you're enjoying all your books. I read The Weird Sisters and quite liked it, although it took me a minute to get used to the writing style.

Isn't it? Needless to say we were shocked!

I'm enjoying The Weird Sisters, I just haven't had much time to listen to it.

I'm eloping in a week and don't want to tell my relatives. I think they'll murder me if I wait 18 months to fess up though. LOL.

Cant't wait to see your review of Home Front. I liked it but I've seen many mixed reviews.

My brother and his wife tend to do things their own way regardless of what others think…congrats on your marriage-to-be!!!

Home Front was amazing – review will be up in the next week or so.

I read the first book in the Inn BoonsBoro trilogy…so I'm eager to get The Last Boyfriend.

    I also enjoyed Home Front.

    Have a great week!

The Last Boyfriend was great and when you figure out why the book has the title it does, it gives you goosebumps!

Home Front was an amazing story!

I'm surprised that eloping still goes on! There'd be family feuds galore amongst our troops if anyone ever eloped! Maybe it's the family feuds that make people elope, lol!

Anyways, have been thinking of reading The Last Boyfriend as I read the first book in the series, but I didn't think it was that great. Did you? 🙂

When I was planning my wedding four years ago, I thought about doing it at times – not because of family fighting, but just because at times the cost was ridiculous!

I enjoyed the first book, The Next Always, and loved the second, The Last Boyfriend. I'm now anxiously awaiting the last one!

I hope you get time out on the boat deck to read this weekend! It is supposed to be warm and sunny here and that is what I want to go while my husband golfs.

Wow waiting a year and a half to tell people, that's incredible lol. Sounds like you had a busy, fun weekend though. The Last Boyfriend is on my TBR mountain. Reading on the deck of the boat club sounds divine … enjoy!!

Isn't it – but it's so my brother and his wife. They tend to do things their own, unique way!

      The Last Boyfriend was great!

I've heard a lot of good things about Home Front. I hope you enjoyed it!
I'm reading Great House right now. I'm so happy to finally be reading something by Nicole Krauss. I've been meaning to do it for years!
