FIR ’11: Reading Question #3

FIR is hosted by Katrina atCallapidderdays.

Every Wednesday this fall, Katrina will be posting a question about reading.

Today’s question: On what devices, if any, do you read books? Or are you strictly a “physical book” reader?

Up until last Christmas, I was strictly a “physical book” reader.  Then, my awesome hubby got me the NookColor and I have to say I really enjoy it. I still do most of my reading with physical books, partly because I have so many sitting on my shelves that still need to be read, and because I like going to the library for books, and I love going to the book store and walking out with some new books. That being said, I do see the benefit of having the e-reader, especially when traveling. I do like reading from it and have amassed quite a collection on it so far.

I have also done some reading on my computer and on my phone and although those are definitely not preferred means of reading,  they do work when necessary!

What devices do you read on? Or do ebooks annoy you, and you prefer to stick to good ‘ol traditional books?

I LOVE my kindle and would choose that first. I love how I can have instant access to books, the dictionary while reading and capability to highlight take notes without interrupting the story. Love it. I have had my Kindle 2 years this Christmas.

I read my first Kindle book last week. It was okay, but at this point I prefer physical books.

I don't have any e-readers, so I am still turning pages in my "Physical Books.

I bought a Kobo earlier this year and love it. I mostly use it to read egalleys and library books.

I have a Nook, and I LOVE it!!!

I've also just ordered a Kindle Touch….I have so many free Kindle books on my Kindle for PC, that I know I won't read because it's so difficult to sit & read on a PC. Plus, Kindle has now 'fixed' some of the issues that lead me toward the Nook in the first place. I'll update you in the future which I prefer!
