Why I read this: I had recently read Something Borrowed and was curious as to what would happen with Darcy. I am also using this book to count towards the Reading From My Shelves Project.

My thoughts: Even though I enjoyed Something Borrowed, I could not stand Darcy Rhone, and when I realize Something Blue was all about her, I was pretty skeptical. Much to my surprise, I ended up enjoying this one as well. Something Blue picks up where Something Borrowed left off, rehashing the last few pages – the only difference is it is now from Darcy’s point of view. Darcy has discovered her best friend and her fiance together, and storms off in a huff. When her relationship with her ex-fiance’s roommate peters out, she finds herself pregnant and alone, with no real friends. Determined to make a fresh start, Darcy cajoles her childhood friend, Ethan, into letting her stay with him in London. He is reluctant, but agrees. What follows is a personal journey, bumpy and engaging, as Darcy evolves from an extremely self-centered person into someone who can take part in a real relationship. It is a warm and charming story about the true meaning of friendship and love, and the power they have to change us all.

I just finished reading Something Borrowed and was skeptical about reading Something Blue since I don't really like Darcy either, but after reading your review I will give it a shot.
@Shellabelle I felt the same way but curiosity won out – I had to know how Darcy's story played out!
It's been a while since I read these books, but I remember that I really loved them! They are what got me hooked on Giffin….
