It’s Monday…What Are You Reading? (8.15.11)

It’s Monday What Are you Reading , hosted by Sheila, isthe perfect way for me to begin my week and allows me to focus on what needs to be read and to see what I have or have not accomplished the previous week. I also enjoy discovering new books by visiting other participants blogs.

It’s back to work for me this week, and we are in the middle of a training session, so my reading time will be limited. I still have quite a few reviews to finish up and schedule for posting, so that is probably where my priority will lie for the week as time permits.

Books Completed last week:

  • Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah (mine)
  • Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand (audio book, mine)
  • Dead Men Don’t Crochet by Betty Hechtman (mine)
  • Best Staged Plans by Claire Cook (library book)

Reading Now:

  • The Love Season by Elin  Hilderbrand (library book)
  • Rescue by Anita Shreve (library audio book)
  • Cleopatra: A Life by Stacy Schiff (book club book, mine)

  • Darkness, My Old Friend by Lisa Unger (review)

I love the little summary you give at the start of this post – the It's Monday! meme does exactly the same for me. Here's my post which, like yours, covers a number of weeks:

Kristen Hannah's books are one of my guilty pleasures. Have not read Firefly lane yet.

@ Notjustreading: My post last week covered the weeks I was away – I just forgot to change the wording this week (but I have since fixed it). This meme really does help me keep on track as far as getting reviews done!

@ Lex Write: I hadn't read a Kristin Hannah book in a while – and I loved Firefly Lane. I have True Colors on my shelf waiting to be read.

@ Jan: It seems to go up and down as far as how much I read each week…now I just need to get those reviews done!

@Bonnie It's really good so far – I'm probably about halfway through it.

How was Silver Girl on audio? I am curious about that one!

@Sheila (Bookjourney) I really enjoyed it…and it's the first audio that I was able to listen to almost straight through – I was driving home to New York from North Carolina by myself.

Hey, new follower and I'm just hopping through.
Did you cry like a big baby at the end of Firefly Lane too? Thank you Kristin Hannah. I haven't read any of her other books but I do own a few, I just haven't been in the mood to cry a river of tears. 🙂

I have Twenties Girl but I couldn't get into it, I am looking forward to your review.

have a great rest of the week!

That's a long list! I'm posting late this week because I've been on a trip to the mountains and out of reach of the internet. Please come see what I've read.
